Fork Truck Operator Safety & Driving Training

Instructor: Harold Long

This training consists of classroom instruction that covers the content of the 29 CFR 1910.178 OSHA standard: the types and characteristics of forklifts, pre-operation inspections, driving safety, stability and load handling. Driving practice follows classroom instruction. Students receive a Certificate of Completion from the college. To receive the certificate, you must pass 80% on the written test and pass the performance driving test to operate the Fork Truck.

Class meets at the BHC Industrial Training Lab Extension Center (ITLEC), 3901 25th St., Moline, or the BHC Welding & Skilled Trades Center (WSTC-EC), 520 E. Third St., Kewanee.

Tuition: $130
Class dates: 

  • Thursday, Sept. 7 — 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 27 — 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Thursday, Oct. 12 — 12 pm to 4 pm
  • Wednesday, Oct. 25 — 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Thursday, Nov. 9 — 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 21 — 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
